EISC Cedar Falls Bike Ride

As with all our summer events, this is open to Non-members!

It finally stopped snowing; let’s celebrate with a bike ride!!  Here is all the info:

  • Where to meet:  Gateway Park
  • Directions:  After getting into Waterloo, merge onto 218 N. toward Waterloo/Airport.  Go about 9.5 miles and then take IA-57 W. toward Cedar Falls/Uni-Dome.  Go about 1.5 miles and turn right onto Main St.  Go over the bridge; Gateway Park is on the right.
  • For GPS users:  135 Lincoln Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa (click the map icon above)
  • When:  9:30 AM
  • Campgrounds:  Black Hawk Park – first come, first serve,  George Wyth State Park – reservations accepted,  Big Woods Lake Campground – reservations accepted.  All 3 campgrounds are on the trail.    Blackhawk County Parks

Our plan for this year’s ride is to ride from Single Speed to Single Speed!! That’s right - there is one in Cedar Falls and in Waterloo :) We will ride from Gateway Park in Cedar Falls to the historically renovated Wonder Bread building (now the Waterloo Single Speed), have lunch, drinks and enjoy the ambience of our surroundings.  Then we will make our way back to the Single Speed in CF and stop there to celebrate the end of a great day of biking with EISC friends.  Of course, you can always stop for dessert at Scratch Cupcakery or even do some shopping at the great little shops in downtown CF :o)  No need to sign up, but if you let us know you're coming, we'll be sure to wait for you!

Any questions or suggestions, you can call or email Jane and Wendall Sents

Thanks!!  Jane and Wendall  :o)
