This trip begins with a flight from Cedar Rapids to Rapid City, SD where a motorcoach (driven by club favorite Dale Scharping) will be waiting for us. The cost for this 9-night, 10-day trip is $2480 and it includes airfare, bus transportation, all lodging, eight breakfasts, five group dinners, the rodeo and all park entrance fees. We will travel through five states and six national parks. The first deposit is $620 followed by three additional payments, with a cancellation date of May 19th. There are 20 spots for this trip. A detailed itinerary follows:
Day 1: Sunday – Rapid City, SD
- Flight from Cedar Rapids to Rapid City
- Board bus and travel to Badlands NP and Wall Drug
- Overnight in Rapid City – Home2Suites by Hilton
Day 2: Monday- Rapid City to Deadwood, SD
- Custer State Park
- Wind Cave NP
- Crazy Horse
- Mt. Rushmore
- Overnight in Deadwood, SD (museums and casinos) – Tru by Hilton
Day 3: Tuesday – Deadwood, SD to Cody, WY
- Buffalo Bill Museum
- Cody Nighttime Rodeo
- Overnight in Cody, WY – Cody Legacy Inn Suites
Day 4: Wednesday – Cody, WY to West Yellowstone, MT
- Yellowstone(north) - frequent stops for photos and hiking
- Overnight in West Yellowstone, MT – Yellowstone Lodge
Day 5: Thursday – West Yellowstone, MT to Moran, WY
- Yellowstone(south) – frequent stops for photos and hiking
- Overnight in Moran, WY – Dude Ranch – Heart 6 Ranch
Day 6: Friday- Moran, WY to Salt Lake City, UT
