About this event
Kathy Takes will be hosting another edition of “Takes to the River” at her farm near Cascade on Saturday, August 2nd. Anyone interested in kayaking should plan to be there between 1:00 and 1:30 to shuttle to the starting point in Cascade. It’s a two to three-hour float on the North Fork Maquoketa River that will end at the farm.
If you don’t kayak, come early, bring a chair and relax with EISC friends. Or there is a sand pit fishing pond nearby if you want to bring equipment to go fishing.
The plan is to eat at about 5:30 pm. Kathy will provide her own Angus beef burgers and brats. Bring a dish to share, your own beverages, plates and eating utensils.
